That leaves two for fishery protection. Total boarding force: 144 marines. Reform says it will seek French agreement for handovers and, if refused, land people on the French shore anyway. The cover image used HMS Ocean — a ship sold to Brazil in 2018. Defence experts called the military planning "a complete word salad."

Farage told LBC he was "open to anything" on replacing the NHS with an insurance-based model, and told Question Time the NHS "isn't working anymore". Their policy includes 20% tax relief on private healthcare and patient vouchers for private treatment. The wealthiest leave the NHS. The NHS keeps the most complex, most expensive patients on a shrinking budget. Two-tier healthcare by the back door.

Deputy leader Richard Tice — under investigation by parliamentary standards watchdog for failing to declare interests. On stewardship: Reform-led Kent County Council voted 37–31 on 16 July 2026 to submit a minerals plan extending quarrying into Oaken Wood — at least 41 hectares of woodland designated a plantation on an ancient woodland site, which national planning policy treats as irreplaceable and protects on a par with a listed building.

£155.7 billion in annual tax cuts funded by £35 billion in annual savings. That's a £120.7 billion hole every year. They disguised it by multiplying savings across a parliament (£178bn) and comparing to one year of cuts (£155.7bn). The cuts are annual. The savings aren't. Three times larger than the Truss deficit that crashed the economy in 49 days.

Lowe says he is "comfortable" with the costings and that estimating across so broad a tax band is "to some extent an art, not a science".

"Scrap the triple lock"

Full state pension: £221/week — £11,500/year. Without the triple lock, pension rises are no longer guaranteed to match inflation. When energy rises 20% and food rises 15%, the pension rises by whatever the government decides. Lowe proposes this from a career in banking and a country estate in Gloucestershire.
